Islanders' owner, John Hambleton, noticed a cool line of t-shirts during his time living in Hawaii. When Islanders began over three decades ago, he called the t-shirt company and they sent their sales rep. When the rep suggested Islanders try their pig tee, Islanders listened and tested this unconventional design. Surprisingly the sales rep was right and the pig shirts sold really well. Beach Bacon was born and since then has evolved into squeeze pigs, trucker hats and various pig shirt designs.
